• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,940 - $3,160
• Shift: 8-hour days and evenings; typically 2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of evenings, depending on department needs
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Orientation: 80 hours
• Schedule: Block schedule; every 4th weekend minimum
• Openings: 2

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient pharmacy or acute care pharmacy experience
• Registered Pharmacist (RPh) required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• Active Connecticut pharmacist license required prior to start
• Experience with pediatric dosing preferred
• Exposure to children’s health and women’s health strongly preferred
• Experience with sterile technique, dispensing workflows, or sterile processing is a plus
• Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, or Carousel systems preferred
• Ability to work a flexible day/evening block schedule and participate in weekend coverage

Responsibilities

• Support inpatient pharmacy operations in a pediatric-focused acute care setting
• Verify, prepare, and dispense medications accurately and safely
• Provide clinical pharmacy support in pediatric and inpatient care areas
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize medication therapy for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents
• Apply pediatric dosing knowledge and medication safety best practices
• Assist with operational pharmacy functions as needed, including dispensing and sterile processing workflows
• Maintain high standards of documentation, quality, compliance, and patient-centered service
