Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of total Certified Surgical Technologist experience
• At least 2 years of experience in cardiac and vascular surgery cases
• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Scrub experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with cardiovascular and thoracic instrument reprocessing
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile processing, and OR safety practices
• Ability to work in a high-acuity surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field for complex cardiovascular procedures
• Assist the surgical team during CVOR cases including CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, and valve replacement procedures
• Support general OR, thoracic surgery, and vascular surgery cases as assigned
• Handle scrub and circulate support tasks as needed
• Maintain accurate equipment documentation and case-related records
• Assist with crash cart readiness and adherence to universal safety protocols
• Contribute to smooth room turnover and efficient surgical flow
• Participate in equitable weekend and call coverage based on unit needs
