Radiologic Technologist Travel Job – Weekend Days in Rochester, NY

We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist for a travel radiology job in Rochester, NY. This weekend days opportunity offers a consistent schedule, competitive weekly pay, and the chance to work in a high-acuity trauma and OR environment.

Job Details

• Position Type: Travel assignment

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,140 - $2,290
• Start Date: 10/26/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Friday through Sunday, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM EST
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: 2-3 call shifts per month, with ability to report within 30 minutes
• Additional Coverage: Callback and holidays per unit needs
• Setting: High-acuity trauma center and operating room environment

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Technologist experience
• Current ARRT certification
• New York State radiology license, or ability to obtain prior to start
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Recent experience using C-arm and/or O-arm within the past 8 months
• Recent OR experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Ability to move and lift patients as needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
• Patient-centered, compassionate, and collaborative approach to care

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review provider orders before performing imaging procedures
• Produce high-quality diagnostic radiographic images for interpretation
• Operate x-ray equipment safely and effectively while minimizing patient dose
• Explain procedures clearly and answer patient questions with professionalism
• Position patients appropriately, including assisting those with limited mobility
• Observe patient status and adapt care to age-specific needs
• Utilize electronic patient systems and dual-identifier procedures accurately
• Maintain precise documentation and ensure images are correctly sent to PACS
• Promptly report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to management
• Support a cohesive team environment in a busy, high-acuity healthcare setting
