• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,600–$2,790
• Charting System: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Active New York State license required
• Bachelor of Science with ASCP registry and/or graduation from a certified Cytology school
• Minimum 3 years of experience screening gynecological and non-gynecological specimens, including fine needle aspirations
• Experience with Bethesda system cytology reporting
• ThinPrep certification required
• ASCP certification required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Strong attention to detail and excellent specimen evaluation skills

Responsibilities

• Perform screening of GYN and non-GYN cytology specimens in a hospital laboratory
• Process and provide immediate adequacy assessment for fine needle aspiration specimens
• Complete cytology prep work as needed, including GYN and non-GYN preparation tasks
• Apply the Bethesda system for cytology reporting accurately and consistently
• Support smooth workflow and timely diagnostic turnaround in a fast-paced acute-care setting
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and documentation in EPIC
