MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150–$2,310

• Contract Length: 12 weeks, with possible extension
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Call: No call required
• Weekends and Holidays: Not required
• Orientation: 16 hours

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional MRI Technologist or MRI Tech experience
• Current MRI Technologist certification or registration appropriate for practice
• Radiology credentials and any required Ohio licensing or registration
• Ability to safely operate MRI equipment and follow established diagnostic imaging protocols
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
• Travel healthcare experience is not required

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols, patient care guidelines, and MRI safety standards
• Screen patients for MRI safety considerations, implants, contraindications, and relevant medical history
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures while providing clear explanations and reassurance
• Operate MRI equipment, maintain diagnostic image quality, and recognize the need for repeat or additional images
• Document MRI procedures accurately and communicate relevant findings or concerns to the appropriate clinical team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital imaging environment
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the hospital healthcare team
