Travel Ultrasound Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490-$2,670
• Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital radiology department with four ultrasound rooms
• Assignment Dates: October 5, 2026-November 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
• Shift: 10-hour night shifts
• Weekend and Call Requirements: No regularly scheduled weekends or call
• Equipment: Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10 ultrasound systems
• Patient Population: Pediatric through geriatric

Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of diagnostic ultrasound experience beyond education, preferably in a hospital or acute-care setting
• Active New Hampshire MIRT license in hand prior to submission
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification and BLS certification
• Experience performing a broad range of ultrasound examinations, including general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and pathology, with the ability to distinguish normal from abnormal findings
• Solid understanding of sonographic physics, scanning techniques, and image quality standards
• Additional RVT, OB-GYN, or abdominal credentials preferred
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, communicate professionally, and follow department protocols

Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for pediatric through geriatric patients
• Complete general, vascular, and OB-GYN studies while maintaining accurate, high-quality diagnostic images
• Recognize relevant normal and abnormal sonographic findings and communicate important observations appropriately
• Support ultrasound-guided procedures, including thoracentesis, paracentesis, fine-needle aspirations, biopsies, drainages, and thrombin injections
• Assist with operating-room procedures such as breast needle placements, carotid examinations, D&C procedures, and prostate biopsies
• Document examinations and findings using Allscripts and manage imaging workflows through InteleRad PACS
• Provide compassionate patient care while maintaining a safe, respectful, and efficient clinical environment
• Adhere to exam protocols, attendance expectations, departmental policies, and applicable safety standards
