Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch
• Call and Weekends: None scheduled
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Equipment and Systems: GE MRI equipment, Meditech Expanse, and PACS
• Dress Code: Hospital-provided or personal scrubs; closed-toe shoes required

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist or MRI Technologist Tech
• ARRT certification with MRI registration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures, patient screening, and contraindication protocols
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional patient care in outpatient and hospital diagnostic imaging environments
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and support staff

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to established protocols and provider orders
• Complete approximately 5–12 MRI procedures per day while maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency
• Screen patients for contraindications, explain MRI procedures, and ensure informed cooperation throughout each exam
• Operate GE MRI equipment and accurately document examinations in Meditech Expanse and PACS
• Position patients safely and provide clear instructions to promote image quality and patient comfort
• Maintain compliance with MRI safety standards, department policies, and infection prevention practices
• Collaborate with the imaging team and radiologists to support timely diagnostic imaging services
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming radiology environment
