Travel Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, New York
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,710–$2,920
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Assignment End Date: January 23, 2027
• Duration: Approximately 13 weeks; six-month assignments may also be considered
• Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts per week
• Call Requirements: Approximately 5–7 call shifts per seven-week period, including 2–4 weekend call shifts; callback and holiday coverage may be required based on department needs
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital Interventional Radiology department
• Position Type: Travel assignment

Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Previous experience in Interventional Radiology
• ARRT certification
• Current New York State technologist license, or the ability to obtain one before the start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Vascular and Interventional Radiology certification preferred and/or required according to department credentialing standards
• Demonstrated competency operating radiology equipment and producing diagnostic-quality images
• Strong communication, teamwork, accountability, and patient-service skills

Interventional Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Prepare and instruct patients before examinations and image-guided procedures while maintaining respect for patient rights, comfort, and privacy
• Assist radiologists and the Interventional Radiology team during image-guided procedures
• Select appropriate exposure factors, position patients accurately, and consistently produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images
• Operate Interventional Radiology and related imaging equipment safely and effectively; report equipment malfunctions promptly
• Complete assigned radiology procedures efficiently and assist with room turnover and department workflow between cases
• Provide care and services appropriate for patients across all age groups
• Use the hospital information system, radiology information system, and PACS accurately
• Maintain patient confidentiality and secure system access credentials
• Respond professionally to technical inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel
• Participate in performance improvement activities and collaborate with department staff to resolve problems promptly
