Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rockport, Maine
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350–$2,530
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 4, 2026
• End Date: January 1, 2027
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Work Setting: Hospital-based radiology and diagnostic imaging environment
• Position Type: Travel MRI technologist assignment

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional MRI Technologist experience
• Current registration or certification as an MRI Technologist
• Ability to safely operate MRI equipment and follow established diagnostic imaging protocols
• Experience with Philips MRI systems preferred
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices, patient screening procedures, and contraindications
• Excellent communication, patient-care, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations according to physician orders and department protocols
• Screen patients for MRI safety, obtain relevant medical histories, and explain imaging procedures clearly
• Position and monitor patients to promote comfort, safety, and high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate MRI equipment and adjust imaging parameters to produce diagnostic-quality studies
• Recognize and respond appropriately to patient concerns or changes in condition during MRI examinations
• Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation and ensure procedures are completed efficiently
• Follow infection prevention, MRI safety, contrast, and emergency procedures as applicable
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other medical imaging professionals to support excellent patient care
