Cardiac Sonographer Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730–$1,860

Cardiac Sonographer Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience required, with 2 years of current experience as a Registered Echocardiography professional preferred
• Successful completion of an accredited noninvasive cardiovascular training program with a focus in echocardiography
• Completion of a recognized course in arrhythmia detection
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential required
• Current CPR certification; AHA or ARC accepted
• Strong technical judgment and the ability to work independently with appropriate clinical collaboration
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and customer service skills

Cardiac Sonographer Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality, complete echocardiogram studies and cardiac ultrasound examinations in accordance with clinical and technical standards
• Obtain and document accurate diagnostic images and measurements for provider interpretation
• Demonstrate sound technical skills and judgment while working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary cardiology team
• Maintain patient confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity throughout each patient interaction
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and fellow members of the Noninvasive Cardiology team
• Manage assignments efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and meeting required deadlines
