Travel EEG Technologist Job Details

• Contract: Travel healthcare assignment, approximately 26 weeks
• Assignment Dates: August 3, 2026 through January 30, 2027
• Schedule: 40 hours per week; variable schedule with day, evening, or weekend coverage as needed
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts

Registered EEG Technologist Job Requirements

• Current ABRET Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) credential required
• At least 3 years of independent EEG experience in a hospital or acute-care setting
• Advanced pediatric EEG experience required
• Experience performing ambulatory EEG using paste, tape, and wrap methods
• Experience with inpatient, ICU, long-term, or continuous EEG monitoring preferred
• Proficiency with electrode application using the international 10–20 system and specialized montages
• Strong technical, troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

EEG Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality routine, ambulatory, inpatient, urgent, and continuous EEG studies in accordance with applicable professional standards.
• Support long-term and continuous EEG monitoring for adult and pediatric patients, including bedside studies in critical-care settings.
• Apply electrodes accurately using the international 10–20 system and other specialized montages as clinically indicated.
• Recognize and document clinically significant EEG patterns and events, collaborating closely with neurologists and epilepsy providers.
• Provide safe, respectful, and compassionate care to patients with complex neurological and critical-care needs.
• Maintain EEG equipment, independently troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate with information technology and vendors when needed.
• Document procedures thoroughly in the electronic medical record and follow quality, regulatory, safety, and infection-control standards.
• Support EEG learners and training activities as requested.
