Join an experienced cardiac procedures team as an Electrophysiology Technologist in Baltimore, Maryland. This on-site travel healthcare opportunity is ideal for an EP Lab Technologist or cardiovascular technologist seeking a 13-week contract supporting advanced cardiac electrophysiology procedures, complex arrhythmia care, and innovative mapping technologies. Electrophysiology Technologist Job Details
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland 21218
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030–$2,180
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
- Start Date: November 10, 2026
- End Date: February 9, 2027
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Call: No call required
- Department: Electrophysiology Lab
- Lab Environment: Two-room EP lab with an average daily census of approximately 10 cases
- Documentation: GE Healthcare electronic documentation system
EP Lab Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent electrophysiology laboratory experience
- Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- One of the following credentials: CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, or ARRT(R) with an active Maryland license
- Experience with GE Healthcare electronic documentation
- Demonstrated proficiency with sterile technique, EP lab room circulation, equipment setup, and accurate cardiac monitoring
- Current influenza vaccination is required; exemptions are not available
- Two supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting recent clinical experience
Electrophysiology Technologist Responsibilities
- Prepare patients, procedure rooms, equipment, and access sites for cardiac electrophysiology procedures
- Support cardiac ablations, including pulse-field, cryotherapy, and radiofrequency procedures for SVT, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia
- Assist with cardiac device implants, including pacemakers, AICDs, and Micra procedures
- Support cardioversions, lead extractions, conduction studies, arrhythmia induction, and EP evaluations
- Operate and support Carto, EnSite, and Affera PFA mapping technologies
- Perform EKG lead placement, baseline measurements, and ongoing recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Scrub and circulate procedures while maintaining a sterile field and following isolation precautions
- Assist with vascular closure systems, including Perclose and StarClose
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality cardiac care
