Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,340–$2,510
• Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02115
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital MRI department
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• End Date: January 10, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, Saturday through Monday, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call: No call requirements

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required; 2 or more years preferred
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to work scheduled overnight shifts, including Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
• Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, patient screening, and diagnostic imaging practices
• Professional resume and references required for consideration

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established imaging protocols and safety standards
• Screen patients for MRI safety, contraindications, and appropriate preparation before procedures
• Position and communicate with patients to promote comfort, cooperation, and high-quality imaging results
• Operate MRI equipment and assess images for diagnostic quality
• Document procedures accurately and maintain compliance with departmental policies
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, technologists, and other members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused imaging environment
