Join a collaborative hospital-based imaging team as an MRI Technologist in Boston, Massachusetts. This on-site 13-week MRI Tech contract assignment offers the opportunity to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced clinical environment while working with advanced MRI technology and a dedicated care team. MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,340–$2,510
• Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02115
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based MRI and medical imaging department
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• End Date: January 10, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shift Pattern: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., plus one flex shift from either 11:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.–3:30 a.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call: No call requirements

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI Technologist or MRI Tech experience required; 2 or more years preferred
• ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) or ARMRIT certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital imaging environment
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures, patient screening, contraindications, and positioning
• Ability to work the required weekend and overnight schedule

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to established protocols and clinical indications
• Screen patients for MRI safety considerations, contraindications, and required precautions
• Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout diagnostic imaging procedures
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining image quality standards
• Communicate clearly with patients, radiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Document procedures accurately and maintain compliance with department, regulatory, and MRI safety standards
• Provide compassionate patient care while supporting an efficient hospital imaging workflow
