Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

- Duration: 13-week travel respiratory therapist contract
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Job Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- Recent respiratory care experience in adult ICU and NICU environments
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Valid Pennsylvania respiratory therapy license or authorization to practice
- Ability to complete required Pennsylvania fingerprinting and child abuse clearances
- Current flu vaccination or approved declination
Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Provide skilled respiratory care to adult and neonatal patients in an acute-care hospital setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patients’ respiratory status and response to treatment
- Administer respiratory therapies and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and respiratory emergencies
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support safe, high-quality patient care
