Travel Echo Technologist Job Details

• Job Title: Travel Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990–$2,140

• Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, typically 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday
• Call: Possible Sunday call coverage

Echo Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional Echo Tech, echocardiography, or cardiac sonography experience
• Echo Technician certification or demonstrated professional credentialing
• Current competency in hospital-based echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging procedures
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, cardiac ultrasound imaging protocols, and patient safety practices
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Successful completion of applicable credential verification and facility onboarding requirements

Travel Echo Tech Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiograms and cardiac ultrasound examinations according to established hospital protocols
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and promote comfort and cooperation throughout examinations
• Acquire, optimize, and document high-quality echocardiographic images for physician and cardiologist interpretation
• Recognize and communicate urgent or clinically significant findings through appropriate clinical channels
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely completion of echocardiography documentation
• Operate, assess, and maintain cardiovascular imaging equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with the cardiovascular imaging department and broader clinical teams to support efficient patient flow
• Provide Sunday call coverage when scheduled and adapt to operational needs, including reassignment within the care setting when necessary
