Join an acute care remote patient monitoring team as a Telemetry Monitor Technician in Camden, New Jersey. In this on-site travel healthcare job, you will support safe, timely care for adult and geriatric patients by reviewing AI-enabled biometric alerts, identifying clinically significant rhythm changes, and promptly escalating signs of patient deterioration to bedside teams. Telemetry Technician Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,120–$1,200
- Assignment: 13-week travel contract
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Location: Camden, New Jersey
- Healthcare Setting: On-site acute care remote patient monitoring department
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour day shifts, approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Patient Monitoring Volume: Approximately 50 monitored patients per technician
- Openings: 2
Telemetry Monitor Technician Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry, cardiac monitoring, or remote patient monitoring experience, including experience within the past 12 months
- Current BLS certification
- Recent experience using Epic or another electronic health record system
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, including normal sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, heart blocks, paced rhythms, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, PVCs, asystole, and sinus rhythm variances
- Ability to accurately measure cardiac rate and intervals, including PR, QRS, and ST segments
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac arrests and other urgent rhythm changes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to promptly notify nursing and physician teams of rhythm variances
- Required licenses and certifications must be active and available at the time of submission
- Must be willing to complete required orientation, pre-employment screening, and department-specific competency validation
Telemetry Monitor Technician Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor centralized telemetry and remote patient monitoring data for assigned adult and geriatric patients
- Review AI-enabled biometric alerts and distinguish clinically significant changes from non-actionable alarms
- Recognize and interpret a broad range of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
- Measure cardiac rates and intervals and maintain accurate rhythm documentation
- Print rhythm strips and enter interpretations and related documentation into the patient chart
- Communicate rhythm changes, urgent findings, and signs of possible patient deterioration to bedside nursing and physician personnel
- Troubleshoot telemetry equipment and alarms to support continuous, reliable cardiac monitoring
- Place and transfer patients within the cardiac monitoring system
- Maintain organized, accurate patient monitoring records in accordance with department standards
- Collaborate with the remote monitoring and bedside care teams to support timely clinical intervention
