MRI Technologist Job Details

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of MRI technologist experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting
• Current MRI Technologist certification
• ARRT certification preferred
• Experience operating Siemens MRI equipment preferred
• Ability to work a consistent four-day schedule and complete 10.5-hour shifts
• Strong patient-care, communication, and diagnostic imaging safety skills

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and MRI safety standards
• Operate MRI equipment effectively, with Siemens MRI experience strongly preferred
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
• Explain MRI procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient support throughout each exam
• Review imaging orders and clinical information to ensure accurate and appropriate examinations
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and support efficient radiology department workflow
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the hospital care team
• Follow MRI safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized imaging environment
