Ultrasound Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer – Echocardiography Contract Job

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist or Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week echocardiography contract job in Middle Township, New Jersey. This on-site hospital opportunity is ideal for an Echo Technologist skilled in cardiac ultrasound, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, digital imaging equipment, and compassionate patient care. Cardiac Ultrasound Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170–$2,330
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Rotational weekends
• On-Call: Weekend and holiday on-call rotation required
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13-week healthcare contract

Cardiac Sonographer Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an Echocardiography Technologist, Ultrasound Technologist, or Cardiac Sonographer
• Current BLS certification
• Current registration through ARDMS or CCI
• Experience performing cardiac ultrasound examinations, including stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms
• Proficiency with digital ultrasound equipment and cardiac imaging technology
• EPIC experience required
• Ability to navigate electronic medical records accurately and efficiently
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients

Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations in accordance with recognized echocardiography standards and applicable quality requirements
• Conduct routine, stress, and transesophageal echocardiographic studies
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and promote comfort and safety throughout the study
• Operate digital ultrasound equipment and demonstrate thorough knowledge of cardiac imaging technology
• Complete scheduled examinations within established time frames and according to patient-specific needs
• Document exam findings and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with providers and the care team to support timely, high-quality diagnostic services
• Participate in the assigned weekend and holiday on-call rotation
