Cardiac Sonographer Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830–$3,040
• Location: West Chester, Pennsylvania
• Healthcare Setting: Acute-care hospital
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Saturday through Wednesday
• Shifts: 8-hour days; weekday hours are 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and weekend hours are 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Hours per Week: Approximately 40
• Patient Volume: Approximately 7–8 patients per day

Echo Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, Echo Technologist, or cardiac ultrasound technologist in an acute-care setting
• Current ARDMS or CCI credential
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Pediatric echocardiography experience highly preferred
• Ability to work on-site and follow the Saturday-through-Wednesday schedule

Cardiac Sonographer Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound and echocardiography examinations in an acute-care hospital environment
• Obtain high-quality cardiac images using GE Vivid E95 equipment
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and promote comfort and safety throughout examinations
• Recognize relevant findings and provide accurate technical documentation for physician interpretation
• Complete approximately 7–8 patient studies per day while maintaining quality and efficiency
• Collaborate with providers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support timely patient care
• Follow department protocols, infection-control standards, and applicable professional guidelines
