Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Dunkirk, New York
• Setting: Hospital respiratory therapy department

• Shift Time: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

RRT Job Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• At least 1 year of experience as a respiratory therapist in a hospital setting
• Current New York State respiratory therapy license
• Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Ability to work on-site, full-time, 12-hour day shifts
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients experiencing respiratory and pulmonary conditions
• Administer oxygen therapy and other prescribed respiratory treatments
• Provide chest physiotherapy and support airway clearance interventions
• Manage and monitor patients receiving mechanical ventilation
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust respiratory care in collaboration with the clinical team
• Document respiratory assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency respiratory care
