Ultrasound Technologist Travel Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190–$2,360
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract

• End Date: January 11, 2027
• Healthcare Setting: Acute-care hospital
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., including every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or equivalent imaging professional in a hospital or acute-care setting
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Sonography education and clinical training appropriate to the role
• Availability to work 10-hour day shifts and every other weekend
• Strong patient-care, communication, and diagnostic imaging skills

Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and department protocols
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations clearly, and maintain patient comfort and safety
• Operate ultrasound equipment and obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Review images for technical quality and document exam information accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
