Registered Dietitian Job Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credential in good standing
• At least 1 year of professional dietetics experience; hospital dietitian or clinical nutrition experience is preferred
• Current flu vaccination
• Ability to complete required license, credential, education, background, and health documentation
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, organization, and medical documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Reliable transportation for on-site hospital responsibilities

Hospital Dietitian Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify patients’ nutritional needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
• Provide evidence-based dietary recommendations and nutrition education to patients and families
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Monitor patient progress, dietary intake, and response to nutrition interventions
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical nutrition documentation
• Support nutrition-related quality, safety, and patient-care initiatives
