Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

• Location: Attleboro, Massachusetts
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital MRI department
• Assignment Type: MRI technologist travel contract
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,010–$2,160
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week; 10-hour day shifts with variable days
• Weekend Coverage: Every other Saturday
• Department Activity: Approximately 125 patients per day and 40 visits per day
• Orientation: 24 hours

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent MRI technologist experience; 2 years of relevant experience is preferred for assignment consideration
• ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active Massachusetts license in hand before the assignment begins
• Experience with adult acute care, ICU, outpatient, and emergency/trauma diagnostic imaging
• Ability to perform MRI exams across a broad range of anatomy, including brain, spine, joints, chest, abdomen, pelvis, breast, vascular, and cardiac studies
• Proficiency with MRI safety practices, radiation safety, isolation precautions, contrast preparation and administration, and peripheral IV starts
• Experience with Siemens MRI systems is preferred
• Ability to meet applicable facility vaccination and compliance requirements

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform safe, accurate, and efficient MRI examinations for adult inpatients and outpatients
• Support diagnostic imaging needs in acute care, adult ICU, outpatient, emergency, and trauma settings
• Obtain and review patient histories, verify orders, explain procedures, and promote patient comfort and safety
• Position patients, select appropriate MRI protocols, operate MRI equipment, and produce diagnostic-quality images
• Complete specialized MRI studies such as MRA, MRV, MRCP, diffusion, perfusion, CINE, spectroscopy, and image post-processing when indicated
• Prepare and administer contrast media according to established policies and monitor patients for reactions
• Initiate peripheral IVs and follow MRI screening, access control, and safety procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing, emergency services, transport, and other members of the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate documentation and support efficient MRI department operations during scheduled weekday and weekend coverage
