RRT Travel Job Details

• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric/NICU/PICU/CVICU
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,970
• Contract: 24 weeks; 13-week travel contract options may also be considered
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Schedule: 3 or 4 shifts per week, typically 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Work Environment: On-site, hospital-based respiratory care
• Patient Population: Neonatal and pediatric patients, including high-acuity NICU, PICU, and CVICU populations
• Floating: May be asked to support other neonatal and pediatric units within the regional care network

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
• Recent experience caring for pediatric, PICU, NICU, and high-acuity Level IV NICU patients
• Active Ohio Registered Respiratory Therapist license in hand before the start date
• Current NBRC credential required
• Current BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Strong clinical judgment, airway management skills, and the ability to work effectively in critical care settings
• Ability to float between neonatal and pediatric intensive care areas as needed
• Successful completion of required background screening, fingerprinting, drug screening, and credentialing requirements
• Required licenses and certifications must be active and available at the time of submission

Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in NICU, PICU, and CVICU settings
• Assess respiratory status and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized respiratory treatment plans
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, airway support, and other advanced respiratory therapies
• Assist with airway procedures, resuscitation, emergency response, and stabilization of critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate findings promptly to the appropriate clinical team
• Document respiratory assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately
• Float to other neonatal and pediatric units when needed while maintaining high standards of patient safety and respiratory care
