MRI Technologist Travel Job Details

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working as an MRI Technologist or MRI Tech in a hospital, outpatient, or clinical imaging setting
• Current MRI Technologist certification or equivalent credential
• License or certificate verification as required for the assignment
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices, patient screening procedures, and imaging contraindications
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Excellent patient-care, communication, and organizational skills

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols and provider orders
• Screen patients for MRI safety, implants, medical history, and contraindications before imaging
• Explain procedures clearly, position patients appropriately, and provide reassurance throughout examinations
• Operate MRI equipment safely and optimize imaging parameters to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition or patient needs
• Review images for quality and completeness, repeat sequences when necessary, and document examinations accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused hospital imaging environment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support efficient patient flow and excellent patient service
