Job Description
Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Therapies include group, individual, and family sessions. Responsibilities include:
- Accurate and timely patient documentation
- Communication with clients, families, and referral sources within HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines
- Active involvement in treatment planning and revising goals as needed
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff
- Coordination with utilization review on length of stay and treatment
- Creation of thorough discharge plans to ensure continuity of care
Unit Profile
- Department: Behavioral Health
- Shift: Days (7 AM - 7 PM)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Call Requirements: No call
- Patient Population: Adult
- Number of Beds: 72
- Patient Ratio: 12:1
- EHR System: Pinpoint
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Handle With Care (HWC) certification
Additional Information
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- No unacceptable attire specified
- No float or weekend hours required
