Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Medical Surgical specialty experience to provide patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with an orthopedic focus. The unit has 18 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6 and serves patients of all ages. The role includes float requirements to Rehab and ICU units.

Shift & Hours

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every Other / As Needed
Call Requirements: As Needed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required prior to start
Experience caring for orthopedic patients

Unit & Work Environment

Medical Surgical unit with orthopedic patient focus
Patient population includes all ages
Electronic Health Record system: Medhost Clinician Experience
Float to Rehab and ICU units required
Professional dress code; scrubs allowed, casual wear not acceptable

Additional Information

Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
The facility is an acute care hospital with a 99-bed capacity and an accredited chest pain center
