Description

Registered Nurse - ICU Travel Position

Location: Kennewick, Washington
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit and Facility Overview

  • Medical ICU unit on the 2nd floor
  • 14 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2 (charge nurse free of patients)
  • Patient population primarily includes sepsis, respiratory cases, some cardiac and trauma
  • Equipment used includes IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump) occasionally
  • Electronic Health Record system: Paragon
  • Shift: 7:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Weekend hours: every other weekend
  • Call requirements: none
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 20

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Washington Suicide Prevention
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Must enjoy working as part of a team and be committed to best practices
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Patient Care Focus

  • Care for critically ill patients with sepsis, respiratory issues, cardiac conditions, and trauma
  • Medical ICU environment with minimal cardiac cases
