Registered Nurse - ICU Travel Position
Location: Kennewick, Washington
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit and Facility Overview
- Medical ICU unit on the 2nd floor
- 14 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2 (charge nurse free of patients)
- Patient population primarily includes sepsis, respiratory cases, some cardiac and trauma
- Equipment used includes IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump) occasionally
- Electronic Health Record system: Paragon
- Shift: 7:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend hours: every other weekend
- Call requirements: none
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 20
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Washington Suicide Prevention
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Must enjoy working as part of a team and be committed to best practices
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Patient Care Focus
- Care for critically ill patients with sepsis, respiratory issues, cardiac conditions, and trauma
- Medical ICU environment with minimal cardiac cases
