Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36

Facility & Unit Overview

Community hospital with 171 beds, Joint Commission Accredited
Certified Chest Pain Center, Level 3 Trauma Center
Unit handles 10 to 25 surgical cases daily including total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), spine ortho & neuro, craniotomies, robotics (XI DaVinci), OB/GYN, podiatry, urology, general surgery, and plastics
Patient population primarily orthopedic and neuro surgical cases
Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
Call coverage shared among RN, CSTFA, and CST; call frequency depends on staff size (e.g., 3 days/month if 10 staff)
Float requirements: may be required to float within a 25-mile radius

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification

Job Responsibilities & Expectations

Provide perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical specialties including robotics-assisted procedures
Participate in call rotation as required
Ability to float to nearby facilities within a 25-mile radius if needed
