Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department at a Joint Commission Accredited facility with 199 beds. The facility offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services. Orientation is held weekly on Mondays.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
The area offers year-round sunshine and numerous outdoor recreational activities including hiking, biking, ATV riding, and horseback riding.
The hospital is recognized as a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and a Certified Primary Stroke Center.
