Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department at a Joint Commission Accredited facility with 199 beds. The facility offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services. Orientation is held weekly on Mondays.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Additional Information

  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
  • The area offers year-round sunshine and numerous outdoor recreational activities including hiking, biking, ATV riding, and horseback riding.
  • The hospital is recognized as a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and a Certified Primary Stroke Center.
