Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Number of Openings: 1
Unit and Patient Population
- Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
- Trauma Level: III
- Number of Beds: 16
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- Equipment: Baxter pumps
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
- Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding (as needed)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience as primary RN in Intermediate Care Unit (float requirement)
- Experience in ED holding for admitted patients (float requirement)
Clinical Experience and Skills
- Experience with common diagnoses and treatments including:
- STEMI, NSTEMI
- COPD exacerbation
- Sepsis
- CABG, Valve repair/replacement
- Acute Respiratory Failure
- Atrial Fibrillation with Rapid Ventricular Response (A. Fib RVR)
- Alcohol Withdrawal
- Head Injury
- Overdose
- Stroke
- Trauma
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) & Transcatheter Valve Replacement (TVAR)
- CVICU experience is a plus but not required
Work Environment and Policies
- Attendance: One call-out allowed per contract; second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed case-by-case
- No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
- Shift preference flexibility should be indicated (day, night, or both)
