Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel Assignment)
Location: Elko, Nevada
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit and Patient Population
- Unit: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
- Patient Population: Adults and newborns
- Unit Beds: 15 total (6 Labor & Delivery, 9 Postpartum)
- Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN standards
- EHR Systems: Centricity, MEDHOST
- Equipment: Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter Pumps, Masimo Monitors, GE Centricity Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring

- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Yes, may float to other departments based on census and needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada
- Minimum 2 years of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- OB/GYN nursing experience
Required Skills and Experience
- Skilled in spontaneous vaginal delivery (SVD) – no VBAC cases
- Experience with Cesarean section care
- Proficient in OB triage and nonstress testing
- Postpartum and nursery care, including newborn procedures
- Management of obstetric hemorrhages
- Fetal monitoring and related interventions
- Care for patients with pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, and hypertensive crises
Work Environment and Culture
- Facility is an LDRP unit covering Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Level 1 Nursery
- Patient care includes postpartum couplet care and newborn management
- Personality fit: Knowledgeable, flexible, team player, and hardworking
- Dress code: Scrubs required; street clothes not permitted
