Job Summary

• Work in a 26-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4-5, flexible based on acuity.
• Facility uses Meditech EHR and standard ED equipment including GE monitors.
• Patient population includes all age groups (geriatric, adult, pediatric).
• Common diagnoses treated: Respiratory distress, overdose, congestive heart failure (CHF), dialysis patients, hypertension (HTN).
• Shift and hours vary; typically 36 hours per week with every other weekend required. No on-call requirements.
• Float assignments are similar to the primary assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Certifications required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech EHR system preferred.
• Team player with an engaged and positive attitude.

• Scrub color is flexible; no unacceptable attire specified beyond facility standards.
• Location is approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh, NC, near major universities and local attractions.
