Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit & Facility Overview

  • Unit: Labor & Delivery – OB/GYN
  • Number of Beds: 17 Labor & Delivery rooms and 5 OB rooms (all one unit)
  • Patient Population: Labor & Delivery
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner
  • Shift: Nights
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: As needed / on request
  • Float Requirements: As needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • Experience in OB/GYN and Women’s Services
  • Certifications required prior to start:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or HWC (Healthcare Worker Certification) or MAB (Medication Administration by RN)
    • AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the assignment location to be considered for travel
  • Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
  • The hospital is a 137-bed acute care facility with a broad range of specialties and certifications, including Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center accreditations
  • Local area offers small-town charm with access to larger cities and recreational amenities
