Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU Travel Position

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Call Requirements: Yes

Unit & Patient Population

Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
Trauma Level: III
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Equipment: Baxter pumps
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding (as needed)

Required Certifications & Licenses

Registered Nurse License (RN)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification

Requirements / Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, including experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Valve repair/replacement
Acute Respiratory Failure

Trauma
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
TCAR & TVAR procedures

Additional Information

Orientation is weekly
No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
Housing options are available
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
Local attractions include outdoor recreation such as fishing, golfing, swimming, hiking, and local dining options
Close proximity to major cities: Las Vegas (~2.5 hours), Phoenix (~3.25 hours), Grand Canyon (~3.5 hours), Los Angeles/San Diego (~5 hours)
