Description

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Work in a high-paced, high-acuity rural Emergency Department with 20 beds.
Patient ratio typically 1:4, may surge to 1:5.
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 hours.
Must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
No call requirements.
Electronic Health Record system used: Paragon.
Patient population: Various (all ages).

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training, PALS.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Experience & Skills

Experience with Peripheral IV insertion.
Knowledge and experience managing Stroke, Sepsis, and STEMI patients.

Work Environment & Dress Code

Emergency Department setting with trauma-level care (not specified).
Scrub colors allowed: black, navy, royal blue.
Unacceptable attire not specified beyond scrub colors.

Additional Notes

Orientation dates available throughout the year.
Facility is Joint Commission accredited with a high safety rating.
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more away to qualify for travel status.
