Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in a high-paced, high-acuity rural Emergency Department with 20 beds.
- Patient ratios typically 1:4, may surge to 1:5.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
- No call requirements.
- Electronic Health Record system: Paragon.
- Patient population: Various age groups and conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience with Peripheral IV insertion.
- Knowledge and experience managing Stroke, Sepsis, and STEMI patients.
Work Environment & Dress Code
- Emergency Department setting with a focus on critical and urgent care.
- Scrub colors allowed: Black, navy, and royal blue.
- Unacceptable attire is specified but not detailed here.
Orientation
- Orientation sessions available throughout the year on specific dates (not listed here).
Note: Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status.
