Unit Information

• Acute Care Med/Surg unit
• 34 beds
• Patient ratio: 6:1
• Patient population: primarily geriatric and adults; occasional pediatrics (not assigned to traveler)
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Work Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Must occasionally work weekends (same hours)
• On-call only when unit is down staffed or placed on call

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in Med/Surg specialty
• For travel assignments, at least 1 year of healthcare experience is required
• Telemetry experience preferred

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

• Provide nursing care on a Med/Surg unit with telemetry, surgical, and general medical patients
• Flexibility and willingness to assist where needed
• Possible float to care for inpatient holds

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Dress Code

• Scrubs of any color
• Closed-toe shoes required
• Only scrubs allowed for clinical staff
