Description

Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel)

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel

Job Summary

Work on a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with 8 beds.
Patient population includes obstetrics and gynecology (GYN) patients.
Follow AWHONN patient ratio standards.
Use Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system.
Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week guaranteed.
Weekend hours as needed; no call requirements.
Possible float assignments as helping hands.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Certification in Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience specifically in LDRP units.

Work Environment & Culture

Unit follows AWHONN standards for patient care.
Personality fit: easy-going, committed, and positive.
Dress code: no designated scrub color except navy scrubs supplied by hospital for C-sections.

Additional Information

No call requirements.
Patient population includes obstetrics and gynecology patients.
Facility includes multiple specialty centers and a Level 3 NICU (for context).
