Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel)
Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel
Job Summary
- Work on a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with 8 beds.
- Patient population includes obstetrics and gynecology (GYN) patients.
- Follow AWHONN patient ratio standards.
- Use Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week guaranteed.
- Weekend hours as needed; no call requirements.
- Possible float assignments as helping hands.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certification in Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically in LDRP units.
Work Environment & Culture
- Unit follows AWHONN standards for patient care.
- Personality fit: easy-going, committed, and positive.
- Dress code: no designated scrub color except navy scrubs supplied by hospital for C-sections.
Additional Information
- No call requirements.
- Patient population includes obstetrics and gynecology patients.
- Facility includes multiple specialty centers and a Level 3 NICU (for context).
