Description

Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Number of Openings: 1


Unit & Facility Overview

  • Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
  • Trauma Level: III
  • Beds: 16
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2
  • Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
  • Equipment: Baxter pumps
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
  • Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding area as needed
  • Call Requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Clinical Experience & Common Diagnoses

  • Experience with STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis
  • Post-operative care for CABG, valve repair/replacement
  • Management of Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR
  • Care for patients with ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma
  • Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), TCAR, and TVAR

Additional Information

  • Attendance Policy: One call-out allowed per contract; second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed case-by-case
  • No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
  • Candidates should indicate shift flexibility (day, night, or both)
  • Housing options are available
  • Dress code and attire requirements to be provided upon hiring
