Description

Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Number of Openings: 1

Unit & Facility Overview

Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
Trauma Level: III
Beds: 16
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Equipment: Baxter pumps
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding area as needed
Call Requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Clinical Experience & Common Diagnoses

Experience with STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis
Post-operative care for CABG, valve repair/replacement
Management of Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR
Care for patients with ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma
Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), TCAR, and TVAR

Additional Information

Attendance Policy: One call-out allowed per contract; second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed case-by-case
No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
Candidates should indicate shift flexibility (day, night, or both)
Housing options are available
Dress code and attire requirements to be provided upon hiring
