Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Discipline: Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Shift: Day
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
  • Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Float Requirement: Yes, will float between two nearby facilities
  • Number of Openings: 1

Unit & Patient Population

  • Unit Type: Rehabilitation (Rehab)
  • Facility Type: Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH)
  • Number of Beds: 50 beds at one location, 85 beds at the other
  • Patient Population: Adults with complex conditions including respiratory failure, tracheostomy, ventilator dependence, high flow oxygen, wounds, traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, burns, and other medically complex diagnoses
  • Average Caseload: Approximately 12 treatments and 2 evaluations per day
  • Equipment Used: Hoyer lift, Sara Plus lift, Hi/Low mat table, stairs, NuStep
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR): Protouch, Net Health (used for billing)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
  • Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
  • Experience working with adult patients

Skills & Personality Fit

  • Ability to efficiently manage workload
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Dress Code

  • Scrub color: Grey
  • Prohibited attire: No artificial nails, no open-toed shoes
