Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Surgery
Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit & Patient Population
- Unit: Orthopedic, Post Operative, Med/Surg
- Floor: A6
- Trauma Level: III
- Number of Beds: 23
- Patient Ratios: 4-6 patients per nurse
- Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (13 years and older)
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Postoperative joints, post-op bariatric, postoperative GI, trauma patients
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: As needed, approximately every third weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Must be willing to float as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of Orthopedic Surgery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
- Dress Code: Any scrub color allowed; T-shirts must display hospital logo; no acrylic nails permitted
- Compliance: All clinical staff must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
This position offers the opportunity to provide quality healthcare in a fully accredited Level III Trauma Center with a supportive team environment.
