Physical Therapist (PT) Travel Opportunity
Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexible)
- Weekend Requirement: One weekend day per month only if needed; a flex day during the week is provided when working a weekend day
- Average Caseload: 10-12 patients per therapist, with an overall unit caseload around 40 patients
- Unit Staffing: 1 rehab tech available
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Productivity Expectation: 50% of hours worked should be billable, reasonable for acute care setting
Facility & Unit Highlights
- Licensed for 199 beds; average census approximately 120
- Acute care setting with inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services
- Joint Commission Accredited, Certified Primary Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI
- Experienced and supportive therapy staff with long tenure (some >25 years) across PT, OT, and ST disciplines
- Location offers diverse outdoor recreation opportunities (mountains, lakes, hiking, biking) and a dry heat climate
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience with orthopedic, neurological, and general medical patients preferred
- Critical Care Unit (CCU) experience is a plus
- No advanced procedures or certifications beyond BLS required

- Dress code: scrubs or business casual attire accepted
- The department culture is described as family-oriented, supportive, encouraging, and fun
- Orientation sessions held weekly on Mondays
