Registered Nurse - OR (Surgery)
Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR) - Surgery
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift Details: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
- Call Requirements: As needed; typically 10-11 days per month (if only two staff, call increases to 15-16 days per month)
- Float Requirements: As needed, including Pre-Op
- Patient Population: All ages
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
- Unit Beds: 3 OR beds, 3 PACU beds, 5 Preop beds
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): CQI and Medhost
- Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs; casual wear and open-toed shoes are not allowed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- Travel experience is a plus but not required
- Professional demeanor expected
- Facility is a 47-bed acute care center serving Northern New Mexico

- Agencies must have an account with New Mexico Department of Health to initiate background checks
- Background check process includes fingerprinting and determination codes for clearance to work
