Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel)
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Week: 36 (weekly guaranteed)
Weekend Requirement: Every 4th weekend
Call Requirements: Not specified
Float Requirements: Occasional
Unit & Patient Population
- Unit: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
- Number of Beds: 8
- Patient Population: Childbearing age women with occasional gynecological surgery
- Patient Ratios: Follow AWHONN guidelines
- Equipment: GE monitors, Panda warmers
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): OBTV/Medhost EMR
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required in Arizona
- Certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Preferred: At least 2 years L&D experience
Skills & Responsibilities
- Must have skills and experience in Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery care
- Common diagnoses/treatments include normal labor and delivery and normal newborn care
Work Environment & Culture
- Community hospital with 171 beds, Level 3 Trauma, Certified Chest Pain Center
- Joint Commission Accredited
- Dress Code: Black scrubs required; no unacceptable attire specified
- Outdoor recreation and local amenities available nearby (fishing, golfing, hiking, restaurants)
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
- Orientation is weekly
- No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
