Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel)
Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in a Birth Center unit with 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, and 3 triage beds
- Night shift position with 48 guaranteed hours per week and 48 weekend hours per month
- No call requirements
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Float required to Mother/Baby unit
- Patient population: Adults
- EHR systems used: Centricity and Paragon
- Volume: Approximately 110 deliveries per month
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients and OB/GYN care
- Certifications required: Fetal Monitoring, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Washington Suicide Prevention
- Experience with OR circulation
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with OR circulation, mother/baby care, and triage (preferred but not required)
- Flexibility and strong communication skills
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Dress code: Scrubs in blue or blue/green; specific unacceptable attire not listed
- Unit follows a teaching hospital model
- Located in a region with recreational amenities including golf courses, parks, and wine country
- Travel assignments require living more than 60 miles from the facility
Shift & Hours
- Night shift
- 36 hours per week scheduled (with 48 guaranteed hours weekly)
- 48 weekend hours per month

- Patient care focuses on labor and delivery
- Must be adaptable to float between labor/delivery and mother/baby units
