Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Telemetry)
Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Position on Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit (Med/Surg 232)
- 24-bed unit serving patients of all ages
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend / as needed
- Call requirements: As needed
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) or Medication Administration Basics (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Work Environment & Culture
- Professional dress code: scrubs of any color allowed; casual wear not permitted
- Small-town setting with access to larger metropolitan areas (Raleigh, Durham, Research Triangle)
- Community offers recreational amenities including multiple golf courses and local breweries
Additional Information
- Float requirements: as needed
- Patient population: all ages
- Orientation sessions held weekly on Mondays
Note: Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
