Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Labor and Delivery) - Travel Assignment
Location: Sylva, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Weekly Hours: 36 (rotated weekends)
Call Requirements: None
Facility & Unit Overview
- Acute care hospital with 86 beds
- Labor and Delivery unit located on the 3rd floor
- Unit beds: 5
- Patient population: Adult and neonate
- Patient ratios: 1:2 or 1:1
- Electronic Health Record system: Paragon
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience within the last year
- Experience in OB/GYN nursing
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Job Responsibilities & Expectations
- Provide care for pregnant patients during labor and delivery
- Manage fetal monitoring and interpret heart rate tracings
- Administer labor medications and assist with cervical exams
- Work collaboratively as a team player with a friendly demeanor
- Maintain professional appearance; scrub color is flexible

- No float requirements
- No call duties
- Patient care focus on pregnancy-related diagnoses and treatments
- Orientation schedule available throughout the year
