Description

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location

  • Kennewick, Washington
  • Travel assignment (must be greater than 60 miles from facility to qualify)
  • Facility has 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, and 3 triage beds
  • Patient population: Adults
  • EHR systems: Centricity and Paragon

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Night shift
  • 48 guaranteed hours per week
  • 48 weekend hours per month
  • No call requirements
  • Float required to Mother/Baby unit

Unit Profile

  • Labor and Delivery (Birth Center)
  • Volume: Approximately 110 deliveries per month
  • Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines

Required Certifications

  • Fetal Monitoring
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
  • Knowledge of and adherence to AWHONN guidelines
  • Experience with OR circulation and mother/baby care

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Triage experience (preferred but not required)

  • Dress code: Scrubs in blue and blue/green colors
  • Volume and acuity require adaptability and teamwork
